Aerodynamics institute to test MC-21, Il-112 strength in 2019

ZHUKOVSKY, Moscow Region, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- Full-scale strength tests of new Russian passenger plane MC-21 and light military cargo plane Il-112 will start at the beginning of 2019, a representative of the Zhukovsky Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics told PRIME on Thursday.

“We expect component parts for the Il-112 plane to arrive in the middle of 2018, and for the MC-21 jet at the end of the year. We plan to begin full-scale structure tests at the institute in early 2019,” the person said.
